Lab Info

C&BA students may use any of our six computer labs. The open lab encompasses five rooms, two of which can double as classrooms. The main lab features 60 computers for use by students with five computers used by student staff to manage the Bashinsky Complex also 1 color and 4 black and white laser printers are available.

In two of the classrooms there are 20 computers for student use along with one podium computer for instructor use and one black and white laser printer. The podium also features a video projector and an audio system that can use output from the computer or the built in VCR.

A Graduate Lab reserves twenty computers and printers for C&BA Graduate students.

E-Commerce Lab

The Ecommerce Facility in Bidgood 373 is a special purpose classroom/lab equipped with 16 computers for Student use, 1 for instructor use and 1 black and white laser printer. All the computers are Dell OptiPlex GX110’s with Intel Pentium III MMX 1 GHz processors, 256 megabytes of RAM and a 19-gigabyte hard drive. The instructor’s computer is part of a podium system that includes a video projector, a VCR and a sound system. The software configuration is running on a Microsoft Windows XP operating system, along with the standard Microsoft Office XP package, it features Microsoft Project and the Macromedia Suite of Web development tools. This room is configured as a conference/work space type environment.

Friedman Lab

The Friedman Hall Dorm Lab has 12 computers for student use with 1 black and white laser printer. These computers have exactly the same hardware and software platforms as used in the Bashinsky lab.
